Post-acquisition Product Integration

Integrating two products without losing what made either one valuable

Overview

I led the product design integration between Qwak and JFrog, translating ML workflows into a larger DevSecOps platform, aligning design systems, and consolidating overlapping experiences into a cohesive product.

Contributions

  • Led the product UX strategy for integrating Qwak into JFrog.

  • Translated ML workflows into JFrog’s product architecture and navigation.

  • Consolidated overlapping experiences instead of duplicating functionality.

  • Migrated Qwak to JFrog’s design system before the technical integration.

  • Preserved familiar workflows throughout the transition.

Outcome

Qwak’s ML capabilities became part of JFrog without disrupting existing users. The platform gained integrated ML functionality while retaining the workflows customers already knew.

Takeaway

The hardest part of integration isn’t merging products—it’s deciding what shouldn’t change.
